I guess I’ve been putting off this post because writing it means that the time has come for us to pack up our life and move it back across the ocean to Canada. No more weekends on the beach when the waves call us over, no more warm sunsets on the sand. It feels strangely like coming to the end of an amazing book that you don’t want to be over. If you’re anything like me, you'll savour the last few pages and sometimes even leave them unread so that the story is never actually over. But that’s just not the way it works in real life. There are so many more amazing books out there being written just like there is a fresh new chapter for us to create on a blank page in Canada. These past two years in Australia will forever be cherished and we will look back on all the memories we created in the home we made here and smile. For it was there that we didn’t let our dreams just be dreams. They were dreams that we chased until they came true and it was magic.

So here's to new beginnings and the possibilities that lie ahead,

The future is looking bright.

Upon our arrival home from Indonesia, the other gorgeous half of my fabulous foursome arrived in Brissy! Words can't really describe how good it felt to be altogether once again,

for what was two years felt more like a lifetime without my besties by my side.

We spent two weeks together with our gorgeous Aussie grandma in the country that she grew up in and the country that shaped her into her spunky and fabulous self! Isn't she just a doll!

We adore this lady! I'm always so inspired by her zest for life - shes a singing, dancing, actress, artist extraordinaire and when she can squeeze in a break from her diva duties she simply jets off to the other side of the world for a granddaughter reunion. I think shes only been home for about two months so far this year, and all I can say is that I hope a fraction of that fabulocity got into my genes!

Thanks to my lovelies for the visit, it was a time that will not soon be forgotten!

We jetted off a week ago to experience the Island of the Gods and all the beauty that Bali beholds! This trip kicked off our celebration of nine dreamy years together! We are starting the festivities a bit early, but hey, when there is so much goodness to celebrate in this life, it takes a long time to fit it all in!! We did a quick stop over in the capital city of the Northern Territory to check out Darwin, and who do you think I would spot before 10 am but a modern day Crocodile Dundee! No joke, I actually did a double take. And that was pretty much the highlight of Darwin (although i did learn that the city is named in honour of Charles Darwin and that it has had to be completely re-built twice once following a WWII raid and again after Cyclone Tracy tore the city to shreds in '74). Not too much happening up there at the top end of the land downunda, just a good ol' arid, winter heat wave to prep us for the Bali beaches. The only souvenir I took from this place was a mild sunburn.

Before we knew it we were awaiting take off to Denpasar, and ready to get on Bali time! Stay tuned for a BIG post (or two) to come on that next!

The last of our moving boxes went to the Pack & Send today. Soon they will begin the eight week journey across the high sea to Canada.

A good life is when you smile often,

dream big, laugh a lot,

and realize how blessed you are for what you have.

I've set a new goal for myself this week - to have all of our photos from the past two year Australian adventure organized in photobooks, ready for print, with the orders placed through My Publisher before we leave this wonderful country. That’s about five books filled with awesomeness that I can’t wait to share with our bests back home!

It’s such a reflective experience, going through all the amazing memories we’ve made here. And when I see all that we have done compiled in one *not so* little package I can’t help but feel blessed for this incredible journey we’ve been on so far. So over the next month or so I’ll be sharing some of the “Best Of’s” as I work through the stacks of wonderful times we spent in wanderlust in the land down under!
